Issele-Uku is a city in Nigeria's Delta State and headquarters for the Local Government Area of Aniocha North, It is also the Episcopal See of the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku. It has its own post office and is served by the nearby new Asaba International Airport. [1]

The Kingdom of Isi-Ile-Uku was carved out of the Benin Empire around 1230 A.D.[2]
The City of Issele-Uku in the oil rich Delta State of Nigeria is located west of the majestic River Niger. The historic River Niger is a trans-African link beginning from West Africa and down into the Atlantic Ocean.
Issele-Uku lies approximately 6 degrees north of the equator. Igbo is the native language in Asaba and neighboring towns/environs.
