Island Plaza is a shopping mall, in Penang, Malaysia. It is one of the first modern shopping malls built in Penang, developed by Belleview. Well planned tenant mix comprising Anchor Tenant, family entertainment and amusement centre, regional/local cuisine restaurant, food court and more than 150 specialty shops. It also houses Malaysia's first 3D cinema - W Cinemax, which opened in October 2010. The cinema has three theatres with a capacity of 480 people with Dolby Digital Surround EX, Digital Theatre System and 2K-resolution projection equipment.[1]
