Institute of International Education

Institute of International Education (IIE) - is a non-profit organization promoting international exchange of education and training. It was established in 1919 and is based in the USA.

The Institute governs more than 200 programs serving more than 20,000 persons from 175 nations each year. The programs involve studies in the USA and abroad. [1][2]

Current and former sponsors of IIE include: US State Department, USAID, US Department of Energy, World Bank, ExxonMobil, Baker Hughes Corporation/Foundation, Cisco Learning Institute, Ford Foundation, Freeman Foundation, GE Foundation, Goldman Sachs Foundation, Governments of Brazil, Chile, Japan and Spain, ITT, Levi Strauss Foundation, Lucent Technologies Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Packard Foundation, AIG Foundation, and Alcoa Foundation.

The Institute of International Education has 7 offices in the United States and 13 offices worldwide (Beijing, Egypt, Hungary, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, Namibia, the Philippines, Russia, Thailand, Ukraine, and Vietnam).[3]
