Infructescence is defined as the ensemble of fruits derived from ovaries of an inflorescence, structured according to the inflorescence scheme.
In some cases inflorescences are similar to simple fruits. Examples are ananas inflorescences, formed from a reunion of berries with receptacle tissues and bracts.
Ear of mature grain is an "ear infructescence". Ficus fruits are "syconium infructescence".
