Ice sledge speed racing is a Paralympic sport where contestants use a lightweight sledge and propel themselves using two poles. It is contested using a speed skating rink with a 400 meters (1,300 ft) circumference. It was an Paralympic sport between 1980 and 1994. The sport is contested in 100 meter, 500 meter, 700 meter, 1,000 meter, and 1,500 meter distances.[1]
