IM Global was founded in March 2007 by current CEO Stuart Ford (film producer). The company is one of the leading film financing, sales, and distribution companies in the world, with offices in Los Angeles, London, and Mumbai. IM Global champions a wide variety of cinema, including mainstream commercial films, art-house, foreign language and genre fare.

In May 2010, Reliance Entertainment, part of Indian conglomerate Reliance ADA Group, acquired a major shareholding in the company.

Company info

Stuart Ford founded IM Global in March 2007. After a highly successful initial three years, Ford sold a majority stake in the company in May 2010 to Reliance Entertainment, the entertainment subsidy of giant Indian conglomerate Reliance ADA Group. Reliance is also Steven Spielberg’s partner in DreamWorks Pictures.
