ILikeMusic

ilikemusic.com is a Southampton UK based music magazine / webzine. The site was launched in 2001 by a small team of young people who like music, for others who like music, as an independent alternative to the plethora of corporate-run sites.

The site covers a variety of music genres and features news, interviews, reviews, competitions, features plus a ticket section, careers section and bookshelf.

I Like Music has grown 100% organically and retains full independence despite its hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors.

In 2006, 2007 and 2008 ilikemusic.com was nominated for Best Music Magazine at the BT Digital Music Awards or DMAs. The award ceremony takes place at the Camden Roundhouse, London. In 2007 ilikemusic.com won the BT Essence of Entrepreneur Award. World-famous photographer, Perou, (who’s taken shots of David Beckham, Marilyn Manson and U2, to name a few) photographed the founders for an exhibition, to take place on London’s South Bank on November 13th 2007.

The editor aired a round-up broadcast of the 2007 Brit Awards, Grammys and commented on the latest James Bond film theme, Casino Royale live on CNN International and does weekly round-ups on Ministry of Sound radio.
