ICON-SCM is a supply chain solution provider located in Karlsruhe (Germany), San Jose (California) and Thiruvananthapuram (India). The company was founded in 1992 by Dr. Michael Keppler and Dr. Kurt Mannchen.

The software solutions provide planning and collaboration functionality and support many supply chain planning processes, like Sales and Operations Planning, demand planning, supply chain visibility and liability. ICON-SCM's unique planning approach is covered by a US patent (US 7974720 ). In the high-tech industry, it is suited to best-practice business process needs.[3][4]

Among the customers are HP, Western Digital, Honeywell, Sanmina-SCI Corporation, Tellabs, Foxconn, Daimler, BMW and Audi.[5][6][7][8]

In the 2009 Supply Chain Innovation Award competition at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) annual global conference held in Chicago, September 20–23, ICON-SCM and Tellabs received second-place honors “A Framework for Success: Improving the Efficiency of Outsourced Manufacturing Operations.”[9][10]

Since November 2010, SAP distributes ICON-SCMs supply-chain solutions as "SAP Supply Chain Response Management by ICON-SCM".[11][12]

SAP provides the software as SAP SCRM BY ICON-SCM (under SAP Solution Extensions by Partners)
