I-League (United Soccer Leagues)
The USL I-League was a proposed indoor soccer league which was to begin play in the fall of 2011. The league was to be administered by the United Soccer Leagues system (the USL), which also oversees the men's USL Pro and USL Premier Development Leagues.
In May 2011, the USL, struggling to sign teams for the new league, agreed to instead take over operation of the also-struggling Major Indoor Soccer League, which accepted the three I-League teams to help fill out their roster of clubs.
