Huntington Middle School is a middle school located in Warner Robins, Georgia, United States. Huntington was built as a replacement for the aging Bert Rumble Middle School, which is now the ninth-grade building at Warner Robins High School. The principal is Dr. Gwendolyn B. Taylor.[1] Construction began on October 16, 2003, and the school opened on August 5, 2005, with 850 students and 114 staff.[4] As of May 30, 2008, HMS had 754 students, with 75 faculty members[3]. The school's mascot is Hunter the Hawk; a new sixth-grade student is chosen to represent the school as Hunter the Hawk each school year.
Although Huntington Middle School is marked as a Title I Distinguished School, it has met the No Child Left Behind Act's Adequate Yearly Progress goals every year since it opened in 2005.
