Hunt's Hill (also, Hunts Hill and formerly, Gouge Eye)[3] is a former settlement in Nevada County, California, United States. Hunt's Hill was located on the Sierra Nevada range 3.2 miles (5.1 km) north of You Bet.
The place was formerly called Gouge Eye because a a fight there in 1855 cost a French miner an eye.[3]
