Hugin (longship)

The Hugin is a reconstructed Viking longship that is located at Pegwell Bay in Ramsgate, Kent, England. The boat was built in Denmark from where it was sailed by 53 Danes to England in 1949. The ship landed at Viking Bay in Kent, before being moved to its current site. It was a gift from the Danish government in commemoration of the 1500th anniversary of the arrival of Hengist and Horsa to the country in 449. In 2005 the ship underwent repairs.

The ship is a replica of the Gokstad.[1]
