Hreljin is a village in western Croatia, just northeast of Bakar and northwest of Kraljevica, above Bakarski zaljev.

Administratively belongs to city of Bakar, situated in Primorje-Gorski Kotar county - Primorsko-goranska županija.

History

Hreljin belongs to septem turres of roman's Liburna. When and who founded Hreljin is not known. Legend talks that Herkul from Greek come on one hill and founded Hreljin.

1228. Hreljn signs Vinodol act where city of Hreljin is one of nine Vinodol castles. Hreljin Castle is one of them.
