"Hot Thing" is the third single by Talib Kweli taken from his fourth solo album Eardrum. The song features will.i.am who is also the producer of the song. The song samples the songs "We're No Exception" by Johnny "Guitar" Watson and "More, More, More" by Andrea True. The music video consists of two songs: the whole song of "Hot Thing", then verse 1 of "In the Mood" after "Hot Thing". The song was recorded by Padraic Kerin, and mixed by Dylan "3-D" Dresdow.

The music video only shows Kweli's torso and has him control special effects in the video, with pictures and words appearing, related to the lyrics.
