Horgoš

Horgoš (Serbian: Хоргош or Horgoš, Hungarian: Horgos) is a village located in Kanjiža municipality, in the North Banat District of Serbia. It is situated in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The village has a Hungarian ethnic majority and its population numbering 6,325 people (2002 census).

Near the village there is the most important national border crossing point between Serbia and Hungary. The first town in Hungary is Röszke.
