Cholargos (Greek: Χολαργός) is a suburb of Athens, Greece, located northeast of the city center and about 6 kilometers away from Syntagma square. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Papagou-Cholargos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit.[1]
It is accessed by Messogion Avenue in the west and is now attached to Attiki Odos at number 6 north of the town hall. The name of the suburb dates back to ancient Athens and the most prominent "Χολαργεύς" (citizen of Cholargos) was Pericles.
