Hodalen is a small village in Tolga, Hedmark. The village lies south-east of the centre of the municipality, the town station at Tolga, where the Hola water course begins at lake Nordersjøen (762 m above sea level), Drengen, Asmaren, Stikkilen and Storsjøen, and riksvei 26 between Tolga and Drevsjø.
Hodalen chapel was built in 1936.
In the 18th century there were trials claiming that farmers from Tynset had previously stolen fish from the lake.
North of the village towers Håmmålsfjellet (Hummelfjellet), and south of the valley lies the mountain range of Raudsjøheimen including Tynset and Brydalen.
