Hitzendorf is a municipality in the district of Graz-Umgebung in Styria, Austria. It has a population of 3,694 and comprises the 13 communities Altenberg, Altreiteregg, Berndorf, Doblegg, Hitzendorf, Höllberg, Holzberg, Mayersdorf, Michlbach, Neureiteregg, Niederberg, Oberberg und Pirka. Fritz Zweigelt, breeder of the Zweigelt red wine grape variety, was born here in 1888.
