Hiranya is a studio album by the noise artist Merzbow, released on May 2009. The album is limited to a total of 1000 copies. There are a further 300 numbered edition copies. The special edition copies will come with a special art print of the album cover art; they will be included with the mail order copies.[1][2]

The first news about the album came from the label's myspace where they said the album was ready and was going to be released during Masami Akita's (a.k.a Merzbow) performance on the No Fun Festival on May 17 but he cancelled his tour over the United States and Canada due to the swine flu outbreak, the album release date was moved a week earlier, the label released the album on May 11 and started shipping a week after.

The cover of the album closely resembles the cover of Jethro Tull's album Aqualung.
