Hermann Lang was a Oberscharführer, in the Waffen SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.[1]

At the time of his award he was an Unterscharführer and platoon commander in the, 5th Company, 6th SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment Theodor Eicke [2][3]
