Herebel (Macedonian: Ербеле, Erbele) is a settlement in the municipality Maqellarë, Dibër District, Dibër County, northeastern Albania.[1] The village includes the St. Saviour's Church and the Halveti Teqe.
After the Balkan wars, the village fell under the control of Yugoslavia, however in 1925 after an agreement reached with Albanian over the control of the Monastery of Saint Naum on Lake Ohrid, the village became apart of Albania.
The village is populated with an Orthodox Macedonian and Macedonian Muslim population, both of which are unrecognised by the Albanian authorities.[2]
