Herbert Smith is an English former professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s who at representative level has played for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for Bradford Northern, and Halifax, playing at Hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.

International honours

Herbert Smith won a cap for England while at Halifax in 1927 against Wales, and won caps for Great Britain while at Bradford in 1926-27 against New Zealand (2 matches).[1]

Note

There was a Herbert Smith who won the 1947 Challenge Cup with Bradford Northern, they are unlikely to be the same person, but they may be related.
