Hedehusene

Hedehusene, a railway town in Denmark, lies between Copenhagen and Roskilde. The town started its slow development in 1847, when the railway between Copenhagen and Roskilde was finished.

The Hedehusene Cemetery holds one of the oldest runestones found in Denmark: the Kallerup Stone, said to originate from the early Viking Age (circa 800 to 825).

Today, the town has grown together with the neighbouring town of Fløng into an urban area with a population of 11,421 (1 January 2011).[1]
