Hawk Films

Hawk Films was a holding company formed by Stanley Kubrick for his film Dr. Strangelove. For subsequent films he formed subsidiaries named after raptors:[1] Peregrine Productions produced Barry Lyndon and The Shining; Harrier Films produced Full Metal Jacket.[2][3]

Noted American environmentalist Roger A. Caras served as vice president of Hawk Films from 1965 to 1969, and was heavily involved in the promotion of 2001: A Space Odyssey.[4]
