Hauzel is a clan found to be within the Paite tribe of north-east India particularly in Manipur and Mizoram areas. They are also found in the Chin State of Burma as a Tedim-Chin sub-clan. The Hauzels are most concentrated in Lamka, the second largest town of Manipur, India.In Mizoram many of them speak Mizo(Lushai) language and gradually assimilated to the Lushai clan of the Mizos.
