Hathuran is a quiet village; nearby is the larger city of Kosamba where villagers may purchase goods. On the outskirts of the village, there are many buffaloes, cattle and other such livestock. This is a relatively small village where people are closed knitted. Children enjoy daytime activities. There are two schools in the villiage. One is private where the other is from the state. For both schools there are uniforms. Some activities include playing a game called "saat thikiri".
