Haptoclinus apectolophus, known commonly as the Uncombed blenny in Mexico,[1] is a species of labrisomid blenny,[2] and the only species in the genus Haptoclinus.[3] It is a deep-water blenny known from around Arrowsmith Bank, in the western central Atlantic Ocean.[2] It was described by J.E. Böhlke and C.R. Robins in 1974.[4] Blennies in this species swim at a depth range of 339-366 metres.[2]
