Hans Friedrich Zacher (22 June 1928 -) is a German academician.[1] He was a professor at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and was the President of Max-Planck-Gesellschaft from 1990 till 1996.

Zacher was born in Erlach am Inn in Germany. He went to school in a nearby town Simbach. Later he studied law at the Bamberg, Erlangen and Munich. He is an ordinary member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.
