FalceMartello (HammerSickle) is a Trotskyist faction within the Communist Refoundation Party a political party in Italy. The group, whose long-standing leader is Claudio Bellotti, is affiliated to the International Marxist Tendency.[1]

The group describes its political ideas as based on the ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky. It advocates a revolutionary program aimed at the overthrow of capitalism and the establishment of a socialist society based on collective ownership of the means of production.
In the 24–27 July 2008 congress, the faction obtained 7.7% of the delegates and played a role in the defeat of the right-wing leadership led by Fausto Bertinotti, and the election of the left wing led by Paolo Ferrero.[2] Until 2009 therefore, it was part of a coalition majority in the PRC and served as such national responsibilities, including the development of workplace branches. It has since moved back to an opposition stand within the party.
The organization maintains political activity of its own, by publishing a newspaper, distribution of Marxist literature, and holding public lectures.
