Hambühren is a municipality in the district of Celle, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approx. 7 km (4.3 mi) west of Celle.

It is a very pleasant village to live in with many amenities.

During the Second World War an underground munitions factory was constructed by Prisoners of War from the nearby Bergen-Belsen Camp, working in terrible conditions. The story of one of the inmates is featured in the new Memorial Centre at Bergen-Belsen and a book has been written about the wartime history of the village [1]
