Hairo is a village of Tehsil Jampur,Union Council Kotla Dewan Rajanpur District.It is located 15 Kilometer south east of Jampur near the Kotla Mughlan.About 1000 years ago there was a city . The Indus River washed all the city away, and it remained flooded for about 25 years.Once again in july 2010 hairo was included in flood hitted area.The Government of Pakistan and Pakistan Army tried their best to help the affected people. The people of here are very simple, sincere and friendly. There are many Baloch tribes: Ahmedani, Pitafi, Gopang, Bosan, Khosa and Aryen. Mostly, the people speak Saraiki and Balochi.[1]

Flood 2010

July 2010 hairo was hitted by flood,which causes immigration of habitants to dry area. Pakistan Army helped the affected people.The flooded causes many economical problems for the people of here.The Government of Pakistan privided the Watan Card for the flood affected people. The food and water also provided by the Government to the people.

Here are five primary school and one middle school recently opened in 2006.

Economy

Mostly these people depends upon agriculture products such as tobacco,wheat,cotton.Due to location near the river its also famous for cattle,buffalos.There is big delta in indus river and it looks beautiful due to greeneray here and a grazing place for animals.
