H.P. Baxxter (born on 16 March 1966 in as Hans Peter Geerdes[1]), is a German entertainer and the frontman of the techno group Scooter. He founded Scooter with his friend Rick J. Jordan in 1993.

Biography

Early life

Baxxter studied law for one semester, but he ultimately completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade buyer. Following that, he held a job with a record label.

Music career

He founded the band "Celebrate the Nun", together with Rick J. Jordan and his sister Britt Maxime.

Baxxter joined Guildo Horn, Jeanette Biedermann, Sylvia Kollek, and Tobias Künzel on the German jury for Eurovision Song Contest 2009. In 2010, he was announced to be the official German representative for the 2010 IIHF World Championship.

Personal life

On 6 May 2006, he married his girlfriend Simone. Baxxter is also an automotive enthusiast. Many music videos for Scooter include old models, such as a 1961 Mark 2 and a Jaguar E-Type V12 1973. He owns and collects many old British cars. Baxxter has stated that he is a fan of the United Kingdom, and the people of the U.K., along with the English language. In 2011, H.P. and Simone got divorced, on the morning of The Stadium Techno Inferno.[2]
