Guy Goodes (Hebrew: גיא גודס, born March 13, 1971, in Haifa, Israel) is a British-Israeli basketball coach, currently an assistant coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv, and a former professional basketball player.[1][2][3]
Basketball career
Player
Goodes was a professional basketball point guard from 1994–2004, primarily with Maccabi Tel Aviv (1990–97 and 1998–99).[4][1] He was on the Israel basketball national team from 1995–99.[1]
Coach
He was head coach of Maccabi Rishon Lezion in 2004–06.[4] Later, he was an assistant coach at Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2006–08.[4]
In June 2008, Hapoel Jerusalem hired him as its head coach, to a one-year contract with a team option for a second year.[4][5] He coached the team from 2008 until 2010.[6] He is now an assistant coach with Maccabi Tel Aviv.[3][7]
