Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (NSET) is an engineering institution situated at Gill Park, Ludhiana, Punjab, India.It is one of the oldest engineering institutions in the northern region, established in 1953. Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College was established by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust [NSET]. NSET was founded in memory of the temple of Nankana Sahib, birth place of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Amritsar, was the force behind the mission of 'Removal of Poverty through Technology'. With this mission, a polytechnic was started in 1950 and Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College was established. The Trust deed was registered on 24 February 1953 with a commitment by the Nankana Sahib Education Trust to uplift rural India by admitting students every year from rural areas. This commitment was made to the nation on 8 April 1956, the same day the foundation pebble of the college building was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji, the first President of India.
The college is an ISO 9001-2000 certified company, NBA accredited, and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IOWAC University [USA] for exchange of students and faculty.

Each department has a Head of the Department at the top. The HoD heads the department for two years after which a new head is appointed. Each department offers a program at the undergraduate or postgraduate level, some departments such as Mechanical Engineering Department, offer two or more undergraduate level programs and some departments collaborate with each other to offer a joint program.
Genesis is the annual cultural and arts festival held in September.
An NSS wing and an NCC wing has been established.
