Goričane is a settlement northwest of Ljubljana in Slovenia. It lies on the right bank of the River Sora, just before its confluence with the River Sava, within the in the Medvode Municipality in the Upper Carniola region.[2]
A large mansion in the settlement dates the 17th century. It was built using materials from an older castle that stood just above the site, of which only a few foundation stones are visible. The mansion was used as a museum and exhibition venue until 2001, but was, with its surrounding estate, returned by the government to the Archdiocese of Ljubljana. It is currently being restored and is closed to the public.[3]
