Golden-i is a Head Mounted Computer developed by Kopin Corporation featuring a monocular head mounted display. Utilising a speech controlled user interface and head-tracking functionality, Golden-i enables the user to carry out common computer functions whilst keeping their hands free.
Kopin Corporation are currently working with Motorola Solutions to evaluate bringing a version of Golden-i to market.[2]

One of the unique aspects of Golden-i is the ability to control using voice control. This is enabled using Nuance's Vocon 3200 speech recognition technology that exposes on-screen commands to the user.[3] In addition, a 6-axis head tracker supplied by Hillcrest Labs adds an extra perspective which can enable rich user experiences without the need for mouse or keyboard input.[4]
Despite this, a mouse or keyboard can still be connected through either Bluetooth or USB.
Golden-i uses a CyberDisplay® SVGA microdisplay manufactured by Kopin Corporation. This microdisplay is positioned near the user's eye (either right or left aligned).
Since March 2011, Golden-i has been available to registered developers at the Golden-i store.[5] However, for 2012 Kopin are working with Motorola to evaluate further possibilities.
