Sub-lands

When entering the main entrance of Golden State from Sunshine Plaza, one arrives in Condor Flats. It is based on the Mojave Desert during the aviation days of the early to mid 20th century. The attraction in Condor Flats is Soarin' Over California. Condor Flats will serve as the main entrance area to the park while Sunshine Plaza is transformed into Buena Vista Street from Fall 2011 to 2012.

Another sub-land, Grizzly Peak Recreation Area, is home to the Grizzly River Run. Across from the Grizzly River Run is the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, which provides an idea of the Mount Shasta wilderness. The attraction also includes a few Brother Bear scenes. When leaving the Grizzly Peak Recreation Area, one used to be able to find "PUSH" near the border of the Bay Area during selected times, usually weekends during the day (prior to 6 PM).

The Bay Area path is modeled after 20th century San Francisco, with models of Victorian houses lining the path. There are no longer any attractions in this area.

After leaving The Bay Area, turning left one arrives in the Golden Vine Winery. Here, an attraction, Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar, displays concept art and models of the changes coming to Disney California Adventure Park by 2012.

Pacific Wharf, modeled after California's 20th-Century wharfs, is the final sub-land. There is currently only one attraction here, The Bakery Tour, which is hosted by the Boudin Bakery.
