Giraffokeryx was a primitive giraffid that lived in the Miocene age around 27 million years ago in Asia, Europe, and Africa. It had two pairs of elongated ossicones, one pair above its eyes, and the other pair upon the snout. Although it bore a very superficial resemblance to the modern Okapi, it was closely related to the sivatheres Bramatherium and Sivatherium. Its full scientific name is Giraffokeryx punnjabiensis[1].
