Ginetes is a civil parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. There were 1267 inhabitants (in 2001), in an area of 12.07 km² (density was 105/km²) that lies on the eastern flank of the Sete Cidades Massif, south of the parish Mosteiros, and linked via the Estrada Regional roadway to other communities in the municipality of Ponta Delgada.
The main industry are agriculture and fishing. The Atlantic Ocean is to the west and southwest. The mountains covered with lovely trees are bounded to the northeast. The rest of the land are farmlands along with barren lands. Ginetes has a school, a lyceum, a church and a square (praça).
