Gideon Conn is a singer-songwriter. He is based in Manchester, but tours extensively around the UK, and has played at UK festivals, including Glastonbury Festival.[1]

He has self-released a number of EPs, and released his first single I Want You Around on Mannequin Republic on 10" Vinyl. He was included on the recent 'A-Z Bestival' Compilation as the letter 'G'.[2]

He has been played on XFM Radio and on BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens.[3] He also supported popular American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz on his 2008 UK Tour.

Gideon sells his artwork through his myspace page.[4] He also has a range of self-designed clothing, created in collaboration with Yes No Maybe Clothing.

A documentary about Gideon called "Hitting Home: Good Luck Gideon" was broadcast on Channel M on Tues 28 July and Thurs 30 July.

Gideon has recently signed a record deal with Mancunian imprint label Skinny Dog Records which is owned and run by members of I am Kloot and Elbow. Skinny Dog will be releasing Gideon's debut album entitled 'New Bop Sounds' in August 2010.

Biography

Gideon became a Bar mitzvah in 1993. According to Gideon Conn himself this was the second good thing to happen in that year. He also provided the voice of the frog for the 2011 Sky Broadband 'Princess and the Frog' adverts.
