George Vassilakopoulos (alternate spellings: Giorgos Vassilakopoulos, Georgios Vassilakopoulos) (Greek: Γιώργος Βασιλακόπουλος) is a former professional basketball player, the former President of FIBA Europe, the European division of the international governing body of the sport of basketball, FIBA[1], and the current President of the Hellenic Basketball Federation.

Basketball playing career

Vassilakopoulos played professional basketball in the Greek League with Peiraikos and Panathinaikos. With Panathinaikos, he won 3 Greek Championships, in the years 1961, 1962, and 1967.
