George John Charles Mercer Nairne Petty-Fitzmaurice, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne DL (27 November 1912 – 25 August 1997), known as George Petty-Fitzmaurice until 1944, was a British peer and Conservative politician.

Lansdowne was the son of Lord Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice and the grandson of Henry Petty-FitzMaurice, 5th Marquess of Lansdowne. His cousins, the 7th Marquess of Lansdowne and the 7th Marquess's younger brother were both killed in action in August 1944 and Petty-FitzMaurice thus unexpectedly inherited his titles, except for the Lordship of Nairne which was inherited by the 7th Marquess's sister.
Lord Lansdowne married his first wife, Barbara Chase (d. 1965) on 18 March 1938. They had four children:
After the death of Barbara, Lord Lansdowne married the Honourable Selina Eccles, daughter of David Eccles, 1st Viscount Eccles, on 22 December 1969. They were divorced in 1978. His third wife was Gillian Anna Morgan (d. 1982), whom he married on 15 October 1978. His last wife was Penelope Eve Bradford, widow of his cousin John Astor, whom he married on 12 July 1995.
