George Miller (born October 24, 1922) is an American politician who served as the Mayor of Tucson, Arizona from 1991 until December 6, 1999.[1] He is a member of the Democratic Party.[1]
Miller served on the Tucson city council for fourteen years prior to becoming Mayor of Tucson in 1991.[1] He served two-terms as Tucson's mayor.[1] In 1999, Miller declined to seek a third term in office as Mayor.[1] He was succeeded by Mayor Bob Walkup on December 6, 1999.[1] Miller was Tucson's longest serving official at the time of his retirement from political office in December 1999, spending twenty-two consecutive years in office - fourteen years as a city councilman and eight years as mayor.[1]
