Gary Motykie, M.D is a world renowned plastic surgeon that has been featured on the E! reality series Dr. 90210, Discovery Channels Plastic Surgery: Before and After, MTV True Life, VH1, and Dr Phil . He is in private practice as an American Board of Plastic Surgery Certified Plastic Surgeon & member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in Beverly Hills, California specializing in cosmetic plastic & reconstructive surgery.
Gary Motykie was born in Mount Prospect, Illinois. He pursued Biomedical Engineering as an undergraduate degree believing that it offered a unique program that would challenge his intellect, artistic ability and creative thinking. During this same time, Dr. Motykie also worked as a certified personal trainer and fitness expert at a local gym. He competed in fitness and body building competitions and believed that both the mind and body should be trained equally in order to achieve maximum balance in life.
While Dr. Motykie was earning his undergraduate degree in the field of Bio-Medica engineering at the University of Illinois; he was involved with advanced medical research projects, which included studying artificial organs, prosthetic limbs and the neurophysiology of the brain. After graduating with honors, Dr. Motykie received his doctorate in medicine at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago where he established and operated the first post-graduate fellowship in advanced surgical research.
Then he completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Texas where he performed surgery at one of the top cancer and burn reconstruction facilities in the world. During this time, Dr Motykie was also fortunate to have the opportunity to travel and work with some of the top cosmetic plastic surgeons in Miami. Throughout this time, Dr. Motykie continued to present his work nationally and he authored numerous journal articles and scientific papers on a wide variety of plastic surgical topics. Following his residency in plastic surgery, Dr Motykie completed a very prestigious Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Beverly Hills where he continues to practice today.
Dr. Motykie is world renowned specialist in numerous cosmetic plastic surgical procedures such as breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, liposuction and fat transfer. Since opening his practice, Dr Motykie has been featured in the New York Times, LA Times and Wall Street Journal as well as having featured appearances on Dr Phil, EXTRA, ACCESS Hollywood, ABC, SPIKE TV and Inside Edition. He has been featured on E! Entertainment’s series Dr. 90210 , the Discovery Channel’s Plastic Surgery: Before & After, VH1 and MTV True Lives.
