Gargalianoi (Greek: Γαργαλιάνοι) is a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trifylia, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] It is passed by Greek National Road 9. It is located south of Pyrgos, Kyparissia and 15 km south of Filiatra, north of Pylos and Methoni and west of Kalamata (68 km) and Messene.
The town has schools from kindergarten through high school (gymnasium), a church, a central square along with Kolokotroni Square, banks, and a hotel named Ionian View. The sporting facility is to the west.
The area outside the city is surrounded with hills covered with olive trees and grapevines. The nearest campground is Camping Proti in Marathopoli.
