Fréttatíminn (Icelandic: Newstime) is an Icelandic newspaper founded in 2010, with the first edition being published on the 1st October that year. The newspaper comes out every Friday, and has a circulation of around 82,000. Around 70,000 copies are distributed in the Reykjavík capital area. Fréttatíminn is free of charge.
The paper is owned by the journalists who write for it and the the paper does not have any affiliation to vested interest parties. The editor of the paper is Jón Kaldal and the news editor Óskar Hrafn Þorvaldsson.
