Friedrich Köchling (22 June 1893, Ahaus, Westphalia – 6 June 1970) was a highly decorated General der Infanterie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who held commands at the division and corps levels. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Friedrich Köchling surrendered to American troops in 1945 and was held until 1947.
