Frescobaldi is a computer program for creating and editing music notation.[1] It is free software for the KDE Linux environment and is available under the GNU General Public License. Frescobaldi provides a front-end GUI environment for GNU LilyPond, which performs the music engraving.

In April 2009, Frescobaldi won a "HotPick" award in Linux Format.[2] In May 2009, TuxRadar listed it as one of "100 open source gems".[3]
