Frank Cox (born 28 May 1940) was a British film director from the 1960s to the 1980s.
Cox studied English at the University of Leeds from which he graduated in 1962. He did not get into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), but took a job as a floor assistant at the BBC. He was then offered a position on the BBC's training course for directors. Among his first assignments were three episodes of the first season of Doctor Who.[1]
