Fombio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lodi in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 km southeast of Milan and about 25 km southeast of Lodi. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,836 and an area of 7.4 km².[1]
It was the site of the Battle of Fombio in 1796.
The municipality of Fombio contains the frazione (subdivision) Retegno.
Fombio borders the following municipalities: Codogno, Somaglia, San Fiorano, Santo Stefano Lodigiano, Guardamiglio, San Rocco al Porto.
